Introduction to the Station
The Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station rescues animals that are confiscated from the illegal animal trade in Ho Chi Minh City or other surrounded provinces. This is the fist multi-species rescue station in the South of Vietnam that can take care of many endangered wild species. After the animals have recovered and have been rehabilitated, they are returned back to the wild.
From 2007 till the present, the station has rescued over 2000 individuals of many endangered species. Among those, over 1100 individuals have been released back to the wild.
Raising public awareness of the protection of wildlife is one important purpose of the station. The display center is equipped with visual images, objects, samples and information in a lively way to help the visitors understand about illegal wildlife trade and and hunting as well as what they can do to protect the biodiversity of Vietnam.
The Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station is a cooperative programme between Wildlife At Risk (WAR) and the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department (FPD). The station also closely cooperates with related government bodies, especially the rangers in law enforcement in order to protect and rescue endangered wildlife.
With an experienced and enthusiastic staff, the Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station is trying its best to overcome the limitation of narrow area in order to rescue more and more wildlife. We are highly appreciative of your support.

Visiting Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station
To encourage the public to take part in protecting wildlife, the Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station is open for free of charge to all students. Each adult is expected to contribute 5 USD for each visit. All of this money will be used to buy food and to take care of the animals. You can visit the station from Monday to Sunday, 7h30-11h30 in the morning and 13h00-16h30 in the afternoon.
From 2006 till now, the Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station has welcomed over 70,000 times of visitors (both foreign and Vietnamese) who are local people, tourists, students, teachers, educational officers, journalists, and film crews.
At the Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station, you will not only see the endangered animals, but also learn stories and special features of different individuals. You can also visit the display centers to find out what you can do to help. You can also join us in feeding the animals or preparing food for them.

How do you get to the Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station?
By car
From Ho Chi Minh City, take Cach Mang Thang Tam street, which continues as route 22 (quoc lo 22) through district 12. Go past An Suong bus station, then turn right at Ba Trieu street to reach Hoc Mon market. From there, keep following route 15 - Tinh lo 15 (beginning as Trung Nu Vuong str.) The center is located on route 15 - Tinh lo 15, between Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc tunnels, two highly visited tourist spots. 70km from HCMC. It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to get there by car.

By bus
From Ben Thanh bus station, takes bus #4 and get off at the terminal - An Suong. Then take bus #122 and get off at the terminal – Tan Qui Cross road. Then take bus # 70 to Ben Duoc and get off at the Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station (Cu Chi ranger office).
